The incomplete Love..

Her phone buzzed, “Coffee at six. Surprise for you”

She dressed elegantly for her first date. They were best friends since childhood and today she will tell him what she feels.

Nervous but anxious, she rehearsed again.

Lost, she came back  from her dreams with his voice, "Hey Meera, meet my love Anjali. Surprised!!!”

P.S- This is my first attempt on flash fiction in just 55 words. Hope you all like it. Suggestions invited.:)

Discrimination a Prejudice!!!

Rahul, an eight years old boy comes from school and asks his mother," When God created all of us equal, why they killed her?" His mother perhaps doesn't know how to answer the quest of the innocent unpolluted mind. He has learnt this lesson today in one of the chapter of moral science. He lost his sister few years back in a Hindu- Muslim riot. Needless to say, he is unaware of the socio-political discrimination existing in the society and hence he is unable to figure out the reason behind that treacherous murder.

True Love

You and me are one of a kind,
You and me are a perfect kind.
We can't do everything forever,
But we can do everything together.

The alarm buzzed. He struggles to find where the watch is and snooze it. But unlike humans the clock rings again after every five minutes and so it was there again the irritating perky sound. Getting up, he rubs his eyes and says “Good Morning dear".

Your destiny in your hands...

“The die is cast, come weal, come woe
Two lives are joined together,
For better or for worse,
the link which naught but death can sever”-Mary Weston
Indeed, a beautiful definition of marriage and a lesson all girls by heart before they step into their new life.

Thank You!!!

Waking up, now that September has ended and I am all excited to celebrate the next two months of festivals and with it the chilling winters.

Though being an Indian by birth and by heart I have always heard and celebrated Dusshera and Diwali but as my awareness increased with my age I came to know about a very simple yet beautiful festival celebrated in the west. Yes, I am talking about the "Thanks giving Day" or may be month which is celebrated in Oct-Nov in various countries.
